Some presuppositions and principles of NLP

1. The map is not the territory. We do not interact directly with the world; we create "maps" from our sensory experiences - and then work and communicate via our maps. It's easier to change the maps in our head than the territory out there.

2. There is no failure, only feedback. Take every experience, good and bad, as an unprecedented opportunity to learn.

3. You cannot not communicate. 93% of our communication is non-verbal; it helps to be conscious of the effects you are creating (though many of your signals may be generated at an unconscious level).

4. There is a positive intention behind all human behaviour. Seek the positive intention in others; it's useful to remember you are not your behaviour.

5. The meaning of your communication is the response you get!
